For weeks I have been rabbiting on about the Gonville Café Library’s up-coming tea cosy exhibition so I thought it was time it had it’s own separate page…
The purpose of the exhibition is to raise awareness of what the Gonville Knitting Group does for local charities around Whanganui and to raise funds to purchase more yarn so that we can continue to make clothes, blankets and toys for needy kids and families in our community.
UPDATE – the exhibition is now open here is some more about the event for you to read and enjoy.
UPDATE – Photos of the set up just prior to the opening of the exhibition.
Check out the gorgeous illusion cake made for us by Sonia Whalen:-
At some point after the exhibition I will upload photos of all the tea cosies in the exhibition… but not today.
I know these have been posted elsewhere on my blog, but a bit of advertising doesn’t hurt now does it…
So, if you are in the market for a new tea cosy or coffee pot cosy, come along to Gallery on Guyton – Guyton Street, Whanganui and have a look at the amazing works that will be on display. All of the full sized items will be for sale (there are miniatures as well but mostly for decoration purposes at this stage). The exhibition opens with an afternoon tea on Thursday 23rd July and runs through until 31st July – we will be open every day from 10am – 4pm (except for Sunday the 26th).
Hope to see you there!
